In-Demand Jobs Week event set at Washington County Career Center
MARIETTA — The Washington County Career Center’s Adult Technical Training Center will hold its Learn Here. Earn Here. Live Here. event 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday to commemorate In-Demand Jobs Week in Ohio.
The week starts Monday and the Career Center event highlights in-demand careers, available training and skills needed for good-paying local jobs.
It is open to the public and no RSVP is required.
The event will focus on the Industrial Maintenance Technician, Certified Medical Assistant and CDL truck driver training program lab areas. Experts, including Memorial Health System, will be available to speak on the skills needed and job availability.
“All of the programs offered align with in-demand careers, can be completed in four weeks to one year, and are quite affordable, especially when students take advantage of the many great funding opportunities,” Anthony Huffman, director at the Career Center Adult Technical Training, said. “In-Demand Jobs week allows us to focus on the many great reasons to consider Adult Technical Training as a viable option for MOV residents looking for postsecondary education and training.”
