Linda B. Wigal promoted at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia
PARKERSBURG — Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia announced Linda B. Wigal has been promoted to vice president of sales and client management.
Wigal, who most recently served as Highmark West Virginia’s director of client management, succeeds Scot N. Swartz, who is retiring after 39 years of service with the company.
“Linda’s diverse experience in all sectors of the health care industry, combined with her considerable knowledge of the commercial health insurance market, make her an ideal fit for this position,” said Jim Fawcett, president of Highmark West Virginia. “We wish Scot all the best in his well-deserved retirement and thank him for his commitment and dedication to serving our customers for nearly four decades.”
Wigal has been with Highmark West Virginia for more than 30 years. Prior to her role as director of client management, she served in a number of client-facing roles. She also serves as the company’s field service plan liaison for the Federal Employee Program.
Wigal is a graduate of West Virginia University and earned the Certified Health Consultant designation from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. She is a board member for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s National Labor Organization and the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
