Greenleaf Landscapes receives safety awards

MARIETTA- Greenleaf Landscapes was recently awarded an Overall Safety Achievement Award Silver Performance Level and recognized for No Vehicle Accidents, No Days Away from Work from the Professional Landcare Network.

The awards, part of P.L.A.N.E.T.’s annual Safety Recognition Awards Program, honors companies with thorough, high-performing safety programs that create and maintain safe work environments in the green industry. The program is designed to reward green industry companies that consistently demonstrate their commitment to safety.

Greenleaf was evaluated on number of accidents, number of days that employees were away from work, and number of employee injuries and illnesses. In addition, a checklist was used to rate the company’s complete safety program.

“Safe work environments show our employees and clients that we care. We will continue to promote safe work habits by our employees on a daily basis because we recognize the importance of safety in the workplace. This is the eighth consecutive year that we have been recognized by P.L.A.N.E.T.’s for our safety program. Our safety record puts Greenleaf head and shoulders above the competition,” said Dave Fleming, Greenleaf general manager.

Greenleaf has offered landscapes design services for more than 37 years. It has state and nationally certified employees.

Companies that enter P.L.A.N.E.T.’s Safety Recognition Awards program are required to submit a copy of their OSHA 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses report and their year-end vehicle insurance claims summary report. These reports are used in determining award recipients.

P.L.A.N.E.T. is the national trade association representing more than 100,000 landscape industry professionals, who create and maintain healthy, green living spaces for communities across America, according to a press release.
