Former Heinz veep to speak to roundtable
MARIETTA – A former executive vice president at the H.J. Heinz Co. will be the first speaker in the 2014-15 season of the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley at noon Wednesday at the Marietta Country Club.
Michael Milone will speak about “Why International Business Really is Different.”
Milone retired from Heinz in 2012 after 32 years of service. He was most recently the executive vice president for Rest of World, Enterprise Risk Management and Global Infant/Nutrition.
He earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton Graduate Division, and a bachelor’s of arts from Colgate University. He will be the executive-in-resident at Marietta College for 2014-15.
Milone also will conduct a Leadership Q&A at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas 124 at Marietta College. The question and answer session is free and open to the public.
The Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley is a non-partisan non-political educational organization formed in 1982 from a collaboration between the Business and Economics Department at Marietta College and business, civic and educational leaders. The Economic Roundtable promotes an interest in and to enlighten its members and others in the community on governmental, economic and social issues.
Since its inception, the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley has presented the Ohio Valley with more than 160 distinguished speakers.
