Peoples Bank approved for lending programdish, lender rela
MARIETTA – Peoples Bank headquartered in Marietta was approved as a preferred lender under the Preferred Lender Program by the Small Business Administration.
Small businesses in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky will be able to receive quicker answers on applications for Small Business Administration loan assistance when submitting loans with Peoples Bank.
The designation as a PLP Lender allows Peoples Bank special authorization to internally underwrite and approve SBA business loans.
“This is a result of hard work and the bank’s commitment to provide local businesses with the funding needed to grow, which in turn will help with job growth throughout our region,” said Chuck Sulerzyski, president and CEO of Peoples Bank
The participation was announced by Martin Golden, district director of the SBA Columbus District Office in Columbus. The status is a special lending designation granted by the SBA and to its most capable lenders.
“SBA clearly has a strong lending partnership with Peoples Bank,” Golden said. “With the Preferred Lender status we are confident that the Bank will be able to expand its SBA lending program and continue providing an exceptional level of customer service to their business clients.”
SBA lending is a core business for the bank, Sulerzyski said.
“The SBA application process is streamlined which allows us to qualify a potential borrower, complete the documentation and fund the loan within a relatively short time period,” Sulerzyski said.
