Grand Central Mall to open its doors Thanksgiving night

VIENNA – Grand Central Mall will open its doors at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day today and remain open until 10 p.m. Friday.

More than 50 Grand Central Mall retailers will open at 8 p.m. with the remaining retailers opening between midnight and 6 a.m. on Friday.

The mall hopes to help make planning easy for shoppers, with complete details listed on its website, www.grandcentralmall.com. Customers will find a complete list of Thanksgiving weekend opening times by retailer, “Black Friday” deals, and holiday hours for the entire season.

Grand Central Mall is the only enclosed regional shopping center in a 77-mile radius spanning from Charleston to Clarksburg and is home to nearly 100 merchants, including top performing national retailers, restaurants, specialty shops and a 12-screen movie theater. In the past two years, Grand Central Mall has welcomed Crazy 8, The Children’s Place, Body Central, h.h. Gregg, Live Love Dream, and p.s. from Aeropostale. Grand Central Mall is owned and operated by Glimcher Realty Trust.

In Ritchie County, Christmas Madness Season strikes again.

The Ritchie County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas Madness runs until Dec. 16. Thirty-one chamber members across Ritchie County are offering Christmas Madness tickets for shoppers with hopes of winning of one of three prizes.

First prize is $250 in $10 gift certificates redeemable at the businesses participating in the Christmas Madness event. The gift certificates will provide the names of the chamber members participating in the event.

Second prize is $150 in $10 gift certificates and third prize is $100 in $10 gift certificates.

The winning tickets will be drawn on Dec. 18 and the winners contacted as soon as possible thereafter.

In Spencer, the Daylight Madness Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and involve businesses in the county seat of Roane County. The Christmas Parade will be held at 11 a.m.

Events are scheduled for Dec. 6 and 7 at the National Guard Armory. West Virginia Kids on First will perform 3-6 p.m. Dec. 6

The second annual Craft Show will be held from 3-6 p.m. Dec. 6 and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 7.
