Chamber announces awards nominations

PARKERSBURG – The Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley has announced the nominees for its annual business awards.

The 2013 Annual Dinner & Awards banquet will be held at the Parkersburg Art Center at 725 Market St. in downtown Parkersburg. Social time and hors d’oeuvres will be from 4:30-6 p.m., the dinner and keynote speaker will be from 6-7:30 p.m. and the awards ceremony will be from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Jill Parsons, president/CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley, on Friday released the list of three finalists for each of the seven business awards categories.

The finalists, in alphabetical order, for each category are:

This year’s keynote speaker will be Gregg Gregory, a certified speaking professional from the Washington, D.C., metro area, who will speak on “Navigating Generational Differences in the Workplace.” A buffet dinner will be catered by da Vinci’s Italian Restaurant.

The cost of the event is $50 a person, and interested businesses are encouraged to reserve tables of eight. Current chamber members have been emailed electronic registration forms, but anyone can register by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 304-422-3588. Seating is limited.
