ALDI’s to hold its reopening
VIENNA – ALDI’s at 1400 Grand Central Ave. will hold a reopening on Monday.
The store will boast a new look, representatives said.
“We are pleased to showcase the new look of ALDI with this updated store in Vienna and continue to help customers stretch their dollars,” said Dan Gavin, Springfield division vice president for ALDI.
The store will have higher ceilings, improved natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials such as recycled materials and energy-saving refrigeration and light bulbs.
The store also will be easier for customers to-navigate through.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday. The public is invited to attend and tour the store.
Guests also can enter an on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win ALDI gift certificates.
ALDI’s sells exclusive brands and eliminates overhead costs by charging 25 cents to rent a cart, which is returned upon returning the cart, smaller stores, open carton displays and encouraging customers to bring their own shopping bags.
Stores open during prime shopping times, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
ALDI, which has grown without merger or acquisition, has more than 1,200 stores located in 32 states. Over the last several years, ALDI has added from 50 to 80 new stores each year. For more information about ALDI, visit www.aldi.us.
