Peoples Bank, high schools team up

MARIETTA – Five local high schools are participating in a new initiative to bring financial literacy education students sponsored by Peoples Bank.

The EverFiTM Financial Literacy learning platform is a web-based program using the latest in media technology to bring complex financial concepts to life for the digital generation. Students will become certified in hundreds of topics in personal finance, allowing them to become more informed, responsible citizens.

Peoples Bank has partnered with EverFi to bring the interactive financial management program to high school students at no cost to nine schools in its markets in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.

Locally participating are Belpre High School, Marietta High School, Parkersburg High School, Parkersburg South High School and Williamstown High School.
