Erica Catherine Tichy and Jon Bradley Gardner were united in marriage on October 10, 2015, at Calvary Memorial Church in Parkersburg. Pastor Rob Collins officiated the double-ring ceremony. The nuptial music was performed by guitarist Jesse DeBarr, friend of the couple. The bride provided ceremony music singing, “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele.
The bride is the daughter of Julie Kunze of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Ron and Jane Kunze of Parkersburg and Frank and Sue Tichy of Vienna. She is a 2008 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and is employed at Community Bank of Parkersburg.
The groom is the son of Ronald and Susan Gardner of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of the late Virginia “Isabelle” and Madison Moore of Parkersburg and Evelyn and the late Forrest Gardner of Elizabethtown, Ky. He is a 1999 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2004 graduate of Ohio Valley University with a degree in physical education. He is employed at Bridgeport Equipment.
Given in marriage by her family, the bride was escorted by her grandfather and brother. She wore a white A-line, one-shoulder organza wedding gown featuring beading, a chapel train and a lace-up back. She carried a handmade bouquet created by her cousin, Tiffany Peters.
Staci A. Turner of Racine, Ohio, friend of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kendra Gibbs of Nashville, Tenn., friend of the bride; Rachael Butcher-Lashchonau of Columbus, friend of the bride; Kara Moore of Parkersburg, friend of the bride; Sarah Sprout-Singer of Parkersburg, cousin of the groom; Stacy Gardner-Dabbs of Vienna, sister of the groom and Tiffany Peters of Parkersburg, cousin of the bride. Leila Simon, friend of the couple, and Bailey Morris, cousin of the groom, served as the flower girls. Alex Harris, friend of the bride, registed guests. Sarah Sprout-Singer, cousin of the groom, gave the ceremony reading.
Dr. Shabbir Matcheswalla of Columbus, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Jesse Simon of Wilmington, N.C., friend of the groom; Josh Snyder of Cambridge, friend of the groom; Jason Linn of Cambridge, friend of the groom; Jimmy King of Spokane, Wash., cousin of the groom; Troy Dabbs of Vienna, brother-in-law of the groom and Clayton Tichy of Parkersburg, brother of the bride. Quinton Arthur, friend of the bride, served as the ring bearer.
Dinner and dancing followed at the Nemesis Shrine Center in Parkersburg. The wedding cake was 3-tier with different flavored layers and buttercream frosting, decorated in bling with red and black accents.
After a trip to The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W.Va., and The Palm Bay Club Resort in Siesta Key Beach, Fla., the couple resides in Parkersburg.
