Goldie Rae Preston and Donald Craig Boyles were united in marriage on June 13, 2015, at Vienna Baptist Church. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Jamie Sprague.
The bride is the daughter of Randolph and Dianna Preston of Vienna. She is the granddaughter of the late Emery and Goldie Talkington and Golda Preston and the late Blaine Preston.
The groom is the son of Lee and Vickie Boyles of Walker, W.Va. He is the grandson of Jo and Bob Sams and Carol and Patrick Mitchell.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an original Maggie Sottero ball gown in ivory with a sweetheart neckline. The gown had a dropped waist with cascading ruffles down the front and back. The dress also had a long ruffled train. She also had a veil with sequins throughout.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with a cream shirt, black vest and black tie. Their colors were teal, black and cream.
The maid of honor was Samantha Suzanne Creeger, friend of the bride since the age of 3. Bridesmaids were Miriam Saxton, Kerrigan Swisher and Brittany Shumate, friends of the bride. The flower girl was Olivia Griffith, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Christopher Walker Boyles, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Craig Burwell, uncle of the groom; Jeb Swisher, friend of the groom; and Ethan Moles, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Connor Boccardi, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Ben Stephan Paul Reitmire, Jake Frady and Jimi Bower, friends of the groom.
Lisa Smith Evans, friend of the bride, was the soloist. Diana Hardbarger was the organist. Becky Burwell, aunt of the groom, was the guest registrar. Carlee Boyles and Hunter Burwell, cousins of the groom, were program attendants. Marcia Stewart of Marietta was the wedding planner.
Golda Preston, grandmother of the bride, read a poem she wrote for the bride and groom entitled “Wedding Bells Are Ringing.”
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2013 graduate of Fairmont State University. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s of science in business administration. She is employed as a business systems analyst by Depositary Trust Clearing Corp. in Coppell, Texas.
The groom is a 2010 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He is a 2014 graduate of Fairmont State University with a degree in nursing. He is employed as a registered nurse at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
After a honeymoon to the United States Virgin Islands, the couple resides in Coppell, Texas.
