Sarah Jane Sprout and Andrew Jeffrey Singer were united in marriage May 25, 2013, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Parkersburg. Pastor Kurt Busiek officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Nancy Sprout of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Fred and Virginia Sprout of Walker and the late Madison and Virginia Isabelle Moore of Parkersburg.

She is a 2001 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a 2005 graduate of Marietta College with a bachelor’s degree in English, and a 2009 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy with a doctor of pharmacy degree. She is employed by Kroger Pharmacy.

The groom is the son of Samuel and Jenny Tyre and Jeff Singer of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of Allene Nern and the late Donald Nern of Parkersburg and Carole Singer and the late Ronald Singer of Parkersburg. He is a 1998 graduate of Nitro High School and a 2002 graduate of West Virginia University with bachelor’s degrees in finance and business administration. He is employed by West Virginia Central Credit Union.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white, fit and flare lace Mori Lee gown that featured a sweetheart cut neckline and a bejeweled belt. She carried a traditional bouquet of white roses and bright yellow freesia, with three bouquet charms attached. One charm was a picture of her parents on their wedding day and two charms had pictures of her grandparents.

Jaclyn Paugh, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor, and Kristen Midkiff, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Stephens, friend of the bride, Katie Fluharty, sister of the groom, Stacy Dabbs, cousin of the bride, and Sheena Geer and Marie Allman, friends of the bride. Addison Fluharty and Madison Fryfogle were the flower girls.

John Nesbitt, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Eric West, Ryan Dillon, Nathan Fluharty, Dan Kennedy and Dan Keaton, all friends of the groom. Hendrix Geer and Jackson Paugh were the ring bearers. Mike Paugh, Andy Guthrie and Matt Guthrie assisted as ushers.

Kathryn Kennard, friend of the bride, read from First Corinthians and recited the Apache Blessing during the ceremony. Paige Daniels, cousin of the groom, was accompanied by Eric West on the guitar in singing “God Gave Me You.”

Guests were invited to a tailgate party in the patio tent at the Blennerhassett Hotel following the ceremony. A reception followed in the Charleston Ballroom, and then guests returned to the patio tent for a karaoke party to close out the night.

After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Parkersburg.
