Gardner – Dabbs

Stacy Erin Gardner and Preston Troy Dabbs II were united in marriage on Sept. 9, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Parkersburg. The Rev. Mark Eaton officiated the double-ring ceremony. The nuptial music was performed by pianist and organist Candy Lindstrom. Soloist Melissa Taylor, sister of the groom, provided ceremony music singing “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Susan Gardner of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Virginia “Isabelle” and Madison Moore of Parkersburg and Evelyn and the late Forrest Gardner of Elizabethtown. She is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg High School, attended Marshall University and is a 2008 graduate of Huntington School of Beauty Culture. She is the managing cosmetologist and co-owner of Evolutions Hair Studio.

The groom is the son of Preston and Kim Dabbs of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of the late Donna and John Kemp of Sistersville and Nancy and the late Robert Dabbs of Friendly, W.Va. He is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg High School and is a seven-year veteran of the United States Army with three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is employed by Bridgeport Equipment and attends the Washington County Career Center.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white strapless sweetheart trumpet wedding gown of taffeta featuring beaded appliques. The gown featured a chapel train with a corset back. She wore a short veil with pearl and crystal accents and a white flower with crystal and feather accents. The bride carried a bouquet of white garden roses and red orchids with black beaded accents and a broach belonging to her late grandmother.

Sarah Singer of Parkersburg, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Maid of honor was Kara Postlewait of Dallas, Texas, friend of the bride and groom. Flower girls were Emma Dabbs, daughter of the groom; Briley Taylor, niece of the groom; and Bailey Morris, cousin of the bride. Danielle Brookover, friend of the bride and groom, delivered the ceremony reading. Makayla Dabbs, sister of the groom, registered guests.

Best man was Keith Marlow of Parkersburg, friend of the bride and groom. Groomsman was Brad Gardner of Parkersburg, brother of the bride. Junior Groomsman was Bradyn Morris of Vienna, cousin of the bride. Zander Brookover, friend of the bride and groom, served as the ring bearer.

Dinner and dancing followed at the Grande Pointe Conference and Reception Center. The wedding cake was four-tiered, each layer with a different flavor and with butter creme frosting decorated with red roses and black accents.

After a honeymoon to Myrtle Beach, the couple resides in Vienna.
