Whystell – Hollandsworth
Erin Lynn Whytsell and Christopher Wayne Hollandsworth were united in marriage on June 1 at the Barlow-Vincent Church of Christ. Nathan Greene officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Bonnie Whytsell of Fleming. She is the granddaughter of Harold and Kate Ladd of Cutler and the late Herbert and Loretta Dowler of Fleming.
The bridegroom is the son of Wayne and Paula Hollandsworth of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of Dale and Barbara Hollandsworth of Parkersburg and the late Ira and Jean Marlow of Parkersburg.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless sweetheart ball gown made by her mother. The top of the gown was embellished with crystals, sequins and beads all over. The bottom of the gown was made of sparkle tulle. The bride wore a one-tiered finger-tip veil trimmed in sequins and beads. She also wore a small feather hairpiece with rhinestones. She carried a bouquet made of white and pink roses with rhinestones and a few black feathers mixed in.
The maid of honor was Kimberly Antill, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julie Whytsell, sister-in-law of the bride, Missy Joy, friend of the bride and Rachel Hescht, cousin of the bride. They wore floor-length black and white gowns embellished with rhinestones made by the mother of the bride. Flower girls were Katie Whytsell and Ava Whytsell, nieces of the bride. The mother of the bride also made their gowns and they were black and white ball gowns embellished with sequins and little tiaras in their hair.
The best man was Rollin Cooper, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Gabe Young, Chris Rosenbohm and Chris Burford, all friends of the groom. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with silver vests and ties.
Julie Whytsell, sister-in-law of the bride, sang a solo during the ceremony and Evan Whytsell, brother of the bride, was the photographer.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Marietta Shrine Club where they had dinner, dancing and entertainment for the guests.
The couple honeymooned in Bora Bora and are now residing in Charlotte, N.C.
