Thorn-Cline

Jackie Lyn Thorn and Shawn Ryan Cline were united in marriage on July 6 at Fort Boreman Park in Parkersburg by Rev. Michael King.

The bride is the daughter of Emery Jr. and Terry Thorn of Lubeck. She is the granddaughter of Emery and Eva Thorn of Lubeck and Charles and Alethia Metz of Davisville, W.Va.

The groom is the son of Shawn Cline of Washington, W.Va., and Pauline Cline of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of Wanda Cline of Elizabeth and Patricia Arnold of Parkersburg.

He is the great-grandson of Martha Mettler of Parkersburg.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Emery Thorn Jr. She wore a full-length, two-layered organza sheath flare gown with a sweeping train and a red satin sash with embellished tails with blue low-top shoes.

Her bridal bouquet consisted of candy apple red roses and white lilies.

The groom wore a white tuxedo with a red tie and vest with matching red and white high-top shoes, designed by the bride.

The matrons of honor were Cheryl Brinkman of Newport News, Va., sister of the bride, and Kelly Casto of Parkersburg, sister of the bride.

The bridesmaid was Samantha Williams of Parkersburg, best friend of the bride. They all wore matching black tea length dresses.

The matrons of honor wore red sashes.

The groomsmen were Joshua Cline of Parkersburg, brother of the groom, and Adam Williams of Parkersburg, best friend of the groom. They wore black tuxedos with a red tie and vest.

The flower girl was Emma Casto, niece of the bride. She wore a red and white satin dress.

The ring bearer was Douglas Casto III, nephew of the bride. He wore a suit with a tie and vest matching the groomsmen.

Guest registrar was Rachel Lott of Washington, cousin of the bride.

Robin Lott of Parkersburg and Jessica Nichols of Williamstown, aunts of the bride, and Leslie Tingler of Vienna and Janet Staats of Williamstown, cousin of the bride, served at the reception.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2011 graduate of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. She is employed at The Bureau of Fiscal Services.

The groom is a 2008 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He is employed by Westbrook Health Services.

After a honeymoon to Hocking Hills, Ohio, the couple reside in Parkersburg.
