Anne-Marie Crego and Clifton Scott Wilson united in marriage on April 20 at the Blennerhassett Hotel in Parkersburg. Pastor Ernie Lee Wilson, father to the groom, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Jan Crego of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Suda Scroggins of Parkersburg and the late Donald Scroggins, as well as the late Ralph and Mary Crego. She is a 2002 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2007 graduate of West Virginia University where she received a master’s degree in secondary education and bachelor’s degree in foreign language. She is a teacher for Jackson County Schools.
The bridegroom is the son of Ernie and Susan Wilson of Hickory, N.C. He is the grandson of Bill and Margaret Wilson of Hickory, N.C., and the late Bud Weaver and Opalee Wilson. He is a 2001 graduate of Fred T. Foard High School. He is a 2011 graduate of Victory Baptist Institute with a doctorate in divinity and a master’s degree in divinity. He is also a 2006 graduate of Crown College of the Bible with a bachelor’s degree in pastoral theology and a master’s degree in ministry. He works for Turner-Baxter Inc. and is seeking ministry opportunities.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a formal ivory gown with embellished lace and flare. She carried a bouquet of many colors.
The evening included a traditional service with the lighting of a unity candle.
Kim Sheets of Ravenswood was the matron of honor. Brandon Greene of Hickory, N.C., was the best man.
A dinner and music reception was held at the hotel.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Parkersburg.
