Danelle Grace Ellis and Kevin Joseph Young were united in marriage on Sept. 2, 2012, during a private ceremony at The Whittemore House in St. Louis, Mo. Pastor Nathan Scott of First Baptist Church in Owensboro, Ky., officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore an ivory dress made of Italian satin with an illusion lace back and sleeves, full A-line skirt with lace accents, a peplum-topped cathedral train, a tiara of pearls and a two-tier veil.

Her bouquet was made of lilac roses accented by cream roses, plum freesia, limonium, callas and Queen Anne’s lace.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and LaTrelle Ellis of Marietta and the granddaughter of Helen and the late R. Gene Ellis of Beverly and the late Ralph and Maxine Newsom of Beverly.

She graduated from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and is employed by Edward Jones.

The bridegroom is the son of Vic and Yvonne Young of Greenville, S.C., and the grandson of Joseph and Louise Barrieau of Greenville and the late Andrew and Simonne Young of Greenville.

He graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., with a bachelor’s degree in physics.

The groom is a financial adviser with Edward Jones, and previously served in the Marines.

Rochelle McClure of Tampa, Fla., served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Alane Sanders of Marietta, Sarah Hudler of Blacklick, Ohio, and the groom’s sister, Sharon Young of Greenville.

The groom’s niece, Cheyenne Young of Greenville, served as the flower girl.

The bridesmaids wore plum satin empire ball gowns with an illusion halter neckline. They carried complementing bouquets made of cream roses with plum and lilac accents.

Brian Young, brother of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Andy Sexton of Simpsonville, S.C., Jake Sexton of Greer, S.C., and the bride’s brother, Wade Ellis of Fort Myers, Fla. Wylie Anderson of Coolville served as the ring bearer.

The men wore charcoal tuxedos with coordinating stripe pants, ivory shirts, light gray vests, satin ascots and boutonnieres.

Readers were Desra Wortman of Chillicothe, Ohio, cousin of the bride, and Renee Newland of Peyton, Colo.,, friend of the bride. Family friend Ginger Postlewait of Marietta, served as the soloist and pianist. Carissa Anderson of Coolville, friend of the bride and mother of the ring bearer, helped coordinate the event.

A reception inspired by the movie “Meet Me in St. Louis” and the 1904 World’s Fair, followed the ceremony. Photographs were taken by friend Jessica Hall of Owensboro, Ky.

After a honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas, the couple resides in Owensboro.
