Together with their parents, Erin Malee Hardman and Edward Ray Scott II announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Paul David Hardman of Smithville, W.Va., and Sandra E. Swisher and Gregory L. Marshall of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Creed and Opal Hardman and the late Willis “Red” and Barbara Swisher. She is the step-grandaughter of Inis Swisher of Brohard, W.Va.
She is a 2002 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School, a 2006 West Virginia University Honors College graduate with a bachelor’s of science degree.
She completed her doctorate at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2010.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Edward and Vicki Scott of Gauley Bridge, W.Va. He is the grandson of Ruby Woods of Gauley Bridge, the late General Harlan Woods and the late Albert and Virginia Scott. He is a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and West Virginia Tech, where he was a member of the Golden Bears basketball team, and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He also attended The University of North Carolina at Charlotte earning a master’s degree in accountancy.
He completed his doctorate at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2010.
The couple resides in Mooresville, N.C., and work at their dental practice in Greensboro, N.C. the bride-to-be also enjoys working part-time at a pediatric dental office, Sparkling Smiles of Asheboro.
A spring destination wedding is planned with a reception to follow in Parkersburg.
