Ethel Irene Lockhart of Pettyville will celebrate her 85th birthday with a reception given by her children from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, October 2, at the Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Tenth and Thomas Streets.

She was born on October 2, 1931, in LeRoy, W.Va., the daughter of the Late Pearl and Pansy Reeves. She married the late Delbert Lockhart on November 8, 1947.

The couple raised four children, Steve (Jill) Lockhart, Debby (Steve) Kimes, Rick (Sharon) Lockhart and Time (Jaele) Lockhart.

She has nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She has been a member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church for more than sixty years.

Family and friends are invited to come and celebrate. Gifts should be omitted, but cards will be appreciated.
