Freda Stewart and Floyd W. Baker are celebrating their 65th anniverary.

They were married Aug. 27, 1954, in Smith’s Chapel Church in Morgan County, Ohio, by the Rev. Francis Shinaberry.

She is the daughter of the late Francis E. and Beulah Morris Stewart.He is the son of the late Milford O. and Hazel Parrish Baker.

In the early 1950s,they were both employed at AEP at Muskingum River Plant at Waterford.

He retired from Borg-Warner Chemicals at Washington, W.Va., in 1987. She was a musician for 70 years, most recently with Ray Fought at Unity Villages in south Parkersburg.

They are the parents of David Jay Baker, Connie (Sam) Hayton, Don (Ronna) Baker, all of Belpre and Daron Baker of Columbus. They are the grandparents of Eric and Travis Hayton of Pittsburgh, Jamie (Phillip) Lallathin of Wilmington, N.J., and Emily (Daien) Chafin of Tacoma, Wash. They have a great-grandson, Reed Lallathin.

The Bakers have lived at 724 Third St., Belpre, for 51 years.
