Mac and Marge McCauley celebrated their 65th anniversary on March 1 with a family gathering.

They were married on Feb. 29, 1948, in Gross-Auheim, Germany.

He served 22 years in the United States Army, retiring in 1964 as a chief warrant officer. He then worked as vice president of Quik-Serv Die Supplies in Franklin Park, Ill., until 1977.

He then moved his family to Parkersburg during the blizzard of 1977. He retired from Sid’s Furniture credit department in 1987. He ran McCauley Bookkeeping and Tax Service until 2011.

She was a bookkeeper at Quik-Serv until 1977. She retired from the bookkeeping department of Sid’s Furniture in 1995.

They are the parents of Patricia (Richard) Fuller of Mt. Carroll, Ill., Barbara (Jerry) Baumeister of Jones, Okla., and Mark (Linda) McCauley of Parkersburg.

They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
