The children of Betty M. Yarnell Jackson will be celebrating her 90th birthday from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 19 at Brookdale Assisted Living, 150 Browns Rd., Marietta.
She was born Aug. 22, 1928, to Clyde and Ida Yarnell in Steubenville, Ohio. She had one older brother Carl William “Bill” (Ethel) Yarnell and two younger brothers, Clyde Eugene “Skip” (Helen) Yarnell and Gary Earl “Rick” (Bernadine) Yarnell.
She married the late Clair O. Jackson on Nov. 12, 1949. She is retired from J.C. Penney.
She has six children, Robert (Vie) Wires, Clair “Junior” (Sheila) Jackson Jr., Jerry “Jake” (Carol) Jackson, Steven “Sheila” Jackson, Sherry (Terry) Elschlager and Tami (Sami) Shaibini. She has 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She has enjoyed traveling and painting since her retirement.
